Job Summary:

As a Hairdresser, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the appearance and confidence of our clients through expert hair cutting, colouring, styling, and other related services.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to clients’ hair-related needs and offering personalized recommendations.
Perform a variety of hairstyling services, including haircuts, colouring, highlighting, balayage, perms, extensions, and more.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in hair fashion, techniques, and products to offer innovative and modern styling options.
Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offer suggestions based on face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle, and ensure realistic expectations are set.
Execute precise haircuts and styles according to clients’ preferences, paying attention to details and ensuring even lengths and balanced shapes.
Apply various hair colouring techniques, such as foiling, ombre, and root touch-ups, while ensuring accurate color formulation and application.
Provide hair treatments, such as deep conditioning, to improve hair health and manageability.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring that all tools and equipment are sanitized and properly maintained.
Build strong client relationships through attentive and personalized service, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
Upsell salon products and services by educating clients on proper hair care and styling techniques.
Collaborate with fellow team members to create a harmonious and professional salon environment.
Attend training sessions and workshops to further develop skills and stay informed about industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Hairdresser, with a portfolio showcasing a range of haircuts, styles, and colouring techniques.
- Valid Certificate of competence or any Qualifications by an awarding body or MCAST
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong creativity and artistic flair, with the ability to translate clients’ ideas into stylish and flattering looks.
- Knowledge of various hair types, textures, and structures, and the ability to tailor services accordingly.
- Proficiency in using hairdressing tools, including scissors, clippers, curling irons, and straighteners.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
- Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends as per the salon’s schedule.
